Abstract: This workshop, sponsored by CPA's Division II (Education and Training) will provide information regarding current field expectations for leadership competency. The presentation will include personal histories of prominent leaders, a review of published competencies and current literature in the area of training, supervising and mentoring graduate students and early career psychologists, as well as a panel discussion featuring prominent psychologists representing varying areas of expertise.

Abstract: This moderated session will provide a forum in which to exchange information and ideas about CPA and CPA Chapter diversity initiatives. Strategies for increasing diversity in organizations, and measuring real cultural competency will be offered for this session. All convention attendees with an interest in diversity affairs are invited to attend.

Local, State and National Disaster Responders Conversation Hour

Abstract: This conversation hour will feature psychologists' experiences of participating as mental health professionals on American Red Cross local, state or national disaster response teams. DRN Chapter Representatives and all convention attendees with an interest in learning about disaster mental health volunteering with CPA's Disaster Response Network or in volunteer service with local Red Cross disaster response teams in their communities are invited to attend. (not eligible for CE credit)
