Why Oakland? The underappreciated neighbor of San Francisco has so much to offer. The convention is in the City Center, home to many shops and restaurants. Oakland has an impressive arts scene and attractions, and a much friendlier price. If you do want to explore the city by the Bay, it is just a short 12-minute train ride on BART. Just catch it at the train stop next to the hotel and for a few dollars, you will be in downtown San Francisco, ready to explore.

HOTEL
NEW ROOM RATE! The Oakland Marriott City Center Hotel will host all the 2009 Convention Activities. A special discounted convention rate of $129 single or double occupancy (plus 11% hotel tax) is available. To make reservations and receive the special CPA discounted rate either call the hotel directly (800.991.7269 - ask for the California Psychological Association 2009 Group Rate)--or register online at www.marriott.com/oakdt and use reservation code cpacpaa
