Jay Finkelman, PhD.


Position Statement

Jay M. Finkelman, PhD, CPE, is System-wide Associate Dean, Professor and Program Director of Alliant International University's Marshall Goldsmith School of Management (MGSM), Organizational Psychology Division. He served as a senior manager, consultant and expert witness in employment, staffing and human resources management for over two decades. He has had hundreds of retentions and depositions, and testified at trial 40 times, equally for plaintiffs and defendants. He is the author of over seventy publications.

Dr. Finkelman holds a Diplomate from the American Board of Professional Psychology and from the American Board of Forensic Psychology where he is also a fellow. Dr. Finkelman specializes in Human Resources, staffing industry management practices, employment discrimination (gender, age, race, and disability), sexual harassment, ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), compensation practices, wage & hours, independent contractor status,   conflict of interest, negligent hiring/retention, wrongful termination, adverse impact, performance appraisal, psychometrics, statistical analysis, human factors and ergonomics. Jay has served on the board of CPA Division III for the past 3 year. He hopes to increase the visibility and viability of I-O Psychology within the psychological and management communities and to make certain that inappropriate  regulations are not imposed."

Judith Blanton,  PhD.


Position Statement
Dr. Judith Blanton has over 30 years of experience in a varied career that has spanned work in academic, not-for-profit and corporate settings.  She is currently a partner at RHR International, and serves on the APA Board of Professional Affairs and editorial board of the Consulting Psychology Journal. She is a Fellow of APA Division 14 and holds a Diplomate in Business and Consulting Psychology. Judy is past president of Division III of CPA.  She hopes to continue to help the Division provide support, resources and networking opportunities to its members. One of her concerns is to make sure that California licensing laws and regulations reflect the realities of practice within consulting and I-O psychology.

NANCY HALLER, PhD

 
Position Statement
After serving as a Commissioned Officer in the United States Navy, Dr. Nancy Haller co-founded her own consulting firm, Applied Psychometrics. Over the past 25 years her professional experience has spanned from military to clinical to industrial to sports to organizational psychology. In 1993, Nancy joined the Center for Creative Leadership and is now one of CCL’s top feedback coaches.  More recently she expanded her executive coaching clientele with The McKenzie Company, a national dental practice management firm. Her goal in serving as a Division III Representative is to help link more effectively with San Diego area psychologists.
