Description: Please join us and meet George Hagman, LCSW, from New York City, who will discuss his recently published New Models of Bereavement Theory and Treatment: New Mourning (Routledge, 2016). He will describe the origins of his theoretical model and implications for clinical practice. New Mourning Theory emphasizes the intersubjective context, affective diversity and multiplicity of responses to bereavement. A very creative thinker, George has also written on psychoanalytic ideas on art and beauty.
