The CPA Foundation - Programs and Services

Education and Training

The Foundation provides funding to support education and training that improves the health and well-being of Californians.  Currently two priority areas are funded:

  1. The impact of immigration on families and communities
  2. The challenges that face the LGBTQ community.

Immigration

The changing demographics in California and the nation, and the related policies and politics, affect individuals, families and communities in profound ways. We are working to build support for these communities and those who serve them. As an example, to date we have sponsored training for 80 psychologists who have volunteered to provide pro-bono services in the immigration courts.

The LGBT Community

The fight for equality has more visibility and broader support than ever. Even so, the need to reduce stigma, prevent violence, and ensure equal rights for LGBT individuals remains highly relevant to our work as psychologists. The Foundation has established this as a major priority.
