CPA Grassroots

CPA members are vital to CPA's advocacy program.  They are the local face of psychologists to their legislators and are key in helping pass legislation affecting psychologists and their clients.

There are a number of ways you and your chapter can get involved and make a difference.  CPA staff have compiled the below guides to a list of actions that you can take to ensure your legislators know how important psychologists are to the state of California.

Your legislator has an office in your area.  District office visits are another way to discuss issues that affect you and your clients.

Another way to support an elected official is by attending a fundraiser.  Check in with CPA staff, you might get your ticket partially paid for! 

Hosting a Fundraiser for Your Legislator

It's very important that CPA members support elected officials who understand the importance of psychologists to the state of California.  The best way to do this is to host a fundraiser with your local chapter members.
