What is a PAC?
The California Psychological Association - Political Action Committee (CPA-PAC) was formed to encourage psychologists and others to take an active and effective role in government affairs in California. It is your support that allows the California Psychological Association to be an effective advocate for California psychologists and the clients we serve. The CPA-PAC supports candidates for election to political offices, ballot measures, and petition circulation drives which are consistent with the philosophies and interests of advancing, promoting and protecting the interests of psychology as a profession and the psychological well-being of the citizens of the state.
Anyone and everyone with an interest in mental health should donate to the CPA-PAC. This means that psychologists, psychology graduate students, vendors, suppliers and patients should all make contributions.
Psychology ranks near the bottom in per capita giving among healthcare professions. Let's change that!
