Monday, March 16, 2020

The Citizen Hotel - Downtown Sacramento
926 J Street
Sacramento, CA 95814

CPA’s Leadership and Advocacy Day trains psychologists and graduate students in the elements of CPA’s advocacy program and provides an opportunity for CPA members to talk to their legislators about issues that affect them and their clients.

What to Expect

CPA’s Leadership and Advocacy Day starts at 8:00 am with a continental breakfast and registration at the Citizen Hotel.  Beginning promptly at 9:00 am, we will discuss current issues regarding psychology, provide lobbying training, and meet with legislators and their staff in the Capitol.  For your convenience, all of your appointments will be scheduled by CPA staff.  Please dress in business attire, and bring business cards and a camera/phone.

Who Should Attend?

Every CPA member is encouraged to attend.  There is no conference fee to attend.

Food and Lodging

CPA will provide a light continental breakfast and lunch to all attendees. Anyone wishing to spend Sunday night in Sacramento will be responsible for finding their own hotel arrangements. CPA suggests staying at the Citizen Hotel located in Downtown Sacramento. The hotel is conveniently located at 926 J Street, Sacramento CA 95814 and their phone number is (916) 447-2700. Parking is available at the Citizen Hotel or City of Sacramento lots within blocks of the hotel for approximately $20-32 per day.
