Medical Specialty Care -- Emergency Departments

Course Description:
This webinar will highlight the opportunities to develop consultation services to provide risk assessment for emergency departments in general medical centers. It will review current best practices in assessment, documentation and communication and share collaboratively developed assessment protocols. It will also explore strategies to assess clinic priorities for expansion for the expansion of integrated care services in specialty care, including Women’s Health.

Goals and Objectives:

  1. Determine if consultation services can meet ED risk assessment needs of regional healthcare.
  2. Learn evidenced based risk assessment tool and protocol for ED.
  3. Identify streamlined tool for communicating patient status in ED.
  4. Identify behavioral health priorities in Women's Health.
  5. Identify essential components for integrated care in Women's Health Practice (trauma informed care, short-term interventions, wrap around services).
