In this course you will learn the essentials for starting a therapy group and maintaining a strong healthy culture in the group which leads to greater commitment and more active participation by group members. • Insider tips and basics for forming a new group. Screening Process • Use of a group agreement to enhance the screening process, maintain confidentiality, minimize absences and drop- outs, and solidify a therapy group. • Dealing with dilemmas as they arise in group such as monopolizing and conflict. • Keeping a therapy group stable yet dynamic. • Psychoeducational and Specialty Therapy Groups. Course includes voluntary participation in a live demonstration training group.
