Grand Rounds:
The Value of Training and Education in Clinical
Psychopharmacology for Mental Health Professionals
(Live Webinar)

Tuesday, March 11, 2025
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm (PT)

Presented by: Casey L McDougall, PhD, LP, MSCP

Course Description:

An advanced degree in Clinical Psychopharmacology has several advantages in meeting the needs of dual diagnosis treatment populations. This training will introduce trainees that are novel to those benefits. Trainees will gain an appreciation for additional training in biomedical models, disease pathology and basic pharmacology toward becoming a better diagnostician and enhancing patient education and outcomes by being more knowledgeable with psychotropic medication. Mental Health Professionals, in general, suffer a critical deficiency in pharmacology knowledge, which impedes their ability to evaluate their patient/clients’ needs and outcomes. This presentation will encourage audience members in further continuing education in this arena.
